Colin King celebrates birthday in Hanmer

Colin King celebrates his birthday very close to Christmas, and last December this provided the ideal opportunity for the family to gather at Hanmer Springs.

The family rented two homes for two nights and as Colin puts it, ‘spent a fair amount of time enjoying the hot pools.
‘One of the wonderful characteristics of Hanmer is that the Nor’ wester blows over the top of the town, leaving its inhabitants in a warm, benign environment,’ says Colin.

‘In my view Hanmer will continue to grow in popularity due to the exceptional rest and recreational opportunities it offers. From the hot pools to cycling, and trekking, and then there’s the Molesworth and Rainbow right on its back doorstep – incredible.’

The King family rest after a brisk walk to the top of Conical Hill. Colin King enjoyed a family celebration in Hanmer Springs for his birthday immediately prior to Christmas.
