The SPCA is a nationwide non-profit organisation that is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Marlborough SPCA was established in 1946 and deals with around 1000 surrendered animals each year at our animal centre.

Imagine . . .
Waking to a glorious Dawn Chorus
Kereru and Saddlebacks winging their way through Kaipupu's native bush
After Dusk . . .
The calls of the Kiwi and Morepork echoing across Picton Harbour

The Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) was founded by Sir Ed's friend and climbing companion, Graeme Dingle and lawyer Jo-anne Wilkinson in 1995 as the Project K Trust.
FYD has grown into a leader in the field of youth development and now runs several, proven programmes that lift the skills, self-confidence, motivation and achievements of young New Zealanders aged 5 – 18 years.
FYD’s programmes help young people discover possibility – creating a youth population with a positive outlook and eyes open to the future.
See FYD's website to see the great youth activities it initiates and support this great cause http://www.fyd.org.nz/Home.aspx

Take a ride on historic trains lovingly restored by the volunteers over 12.8 kms of fascinating Canterbury countryside. The work I have seen done on the carriages is lovely to see and feel. Smell the smoke and hear the power of these locomotive engines from a more romantic era of travel.

The running days for train trips are on the website: http://www.wekapassrailway.co.nz/default.asp
A great day out for the family!
Help the guy’s and girl’s keep up maintaining and improving the railway by becoming a member and purchasing on their online store. Books, DVDs, Calendars and more.
